Good evening all.
Been lurking here for about two weeks now, finally registered and I'm now able to post.
First of all I wish to say a big thank you to all those who have provided information here. It really is a wealth of knowledge.

Secondly,
Hi :)
My name is Michael (But you can call me Mabs), I'm 21, live in the beautiful Shetland Isles and work an an Arborist/Gardener/Horticulturist/Cell Culture Lab Techie for a conservation charity. (But may soon all going well be training to become a fireman at the north end's airport.

I had a catty or two when I was younger but was never any good with them and never realy got into them.
I have spent this summer spearfishing in the north sea and atlantic just with breahthold diving and got a good few suppers out of it.
This is where I got onto the idea of using a slingshot to harvest some food from the land.
On the bird front things are pretty limited on the food front however if you're into your birds Shetland really is a top class contender (The amount of vagrants is unbelievable!).

Rabbits however... well that's another story! There really are just too many of them!

A few weeks back I got myself one of Fish's fantastic catty's. I can't fault them at all. Mine sadly broke but he had a replacment sent out the very next a after being informed in the evening :) Now that's service!
I go my fist hit and kill the other day and was straight onto youtube to see how to skin it :). It made one fine stew! The lads at work thoroughly enjoyed what I didn't finish :)

So where was I? Yes. Fish's catty's. I'm about to order the fantastic Zebrano hunter as a pree birthday gift for myself and I do believe he has some some rather nice wood on the way. Which shall be turned into a birthday gift fom my fair lady ;)

Right, off for some supper.

Cheers all

Mabs

hello mabs,i was just wondering if the hunterbands would work under water,if they do it would increase the power of the spear gun considerably!
