Went out on a mates boat today for a bit of a jolly up. Four of us, one is ex plod who just happened to be stationed in Hants when I was pretty active on the forest a good few years ago so we know each other well. He remembers the night my best buddy hit one of his beat bobbies on the swede with a light made from a car headlamp. Light was f***ed after that but so was plod for a good few weeks. Seems odd now laughing about something with the very person who tried so hard to catch me.

Anyhow, he now does a bit of deer stalking around the Winchester area and has invited me along to shoot with him, now aint that a turn up. funny where life takes us.

Oh, and the fishing was awful.....

Bream about the start of April, Tope a month later.

There are some plaice around but all thin and watery.....

I'll let you know when they arrive and will post catch reports and anyone who wants to come out just has to shout and we'll arrange a few trips.

No.........

Only if I know you're gonna phone, have you tried the mobile, although I was out early this morning and I usually leave the mobile switched off.

I'm not home often to answer the landline.

When have you tried, it hasnt rung much...
