New on here but was out on Sunday fishing a river in the west of Scotland. Only rod I had with me was my 4'10" featherlight spincast rod. The reel is tiny and loaded with 4lb line. I was only after small trout but hooked into something much bigger. After about 45 minutes I managed to get the fish on the bank. Very pleased with myself as I watched it swim off, shortly after I hooked and even bigger fish, this was on size 1 mepp. Landed the second to and got it back in after a quick pic. Was over 10lbs

Thanks Rob

Just a plain old silver size 1 anglia £2. Need to fish light to get decent casts.
The wee rod in the picture is my favourite rod.  Makes half pounders feel like monsters. Reel was only £5 from america surprised the drag held up
