I try to get to the show most years because I simply love the working horse section.

This was a competition entry in my local photography club under the title of work.  I was surprised by the distance between the ploughman and the animal brains.

The plough was fitted a semi-digger mouldboard and therefore the pulling link is higher on the front of the plough for depth.  The soil was chalky and reasonably good but crumbled leaving a broken furrow.

Regards, Peter.

PS. For some reason the image is lighter than intended?
