Hi folks

i'm new here but i do loves me fishing...

how's everyones cod season gone this year?

there were a lack of large fish off the needles this year but i still managed to bag a few gooduns!

i fish from yarmouth in a duver 23 with 180 horses.. i cant wait for the spring to head out to mid channel wrecks!  





me other arf whos just joined this forum too is a bit good at catching fish too... which is all good till she starts catching more than me  

i'll post a funny vid of her when i can get her to do it for me!..lol

Had a few, biggest 19 lb. I fish Nab end of the island out of Pompey.
Like you say, not much big stuff, most of what we had was in the 8 to 10 bracket.

Someone did manage a 33 lb'er off the anchorages toward the end of the season.

nice pollack there as well, poor cod season up here in north west, even when its good that size is rare

wow i can only dream of fish like that! last time i was out in a boat from portsmouth  was a bit sick,but i have since found a cure so ille be trying it again this year!

lets all hope for some decent weather this spring. lost a lot of day's this winter due to strong winds...and when we did get out.. there was usually an easterly blowing which i do believe  slow's the fishing down.

brother just foned me from the boat..just had a 19lber cod.
