She shoots really well but it is a bit long, just after I bought it a second hand folding one came up for £150 but I'd already spent me money on this new one, gutted!

They say as quiet as an unmoderated air rifle, I would say its a little bit louder but it is a vast improvement on a normal shotty, at 100 yards you hardly hear it, more of clap than a bang. Charl.

The way to make em really quiet is to take about a third of the powder out of the cartridges,or make light loads if you load your own, even a conventional end mounted silencer is very quiet with these, quieter than an unmoderated HW80,you obviously lose a bit of umph though.

I think I'll have a go at that, I'm using webley sub sonics at the mo but they are 3" magnums I've been told the 2" and 2.5" are a bit quieter but the sub sonics are the only ones with felt wadding cos your not supposed to put the plastic stuff through in case it gets caught up well that's what the gun shop said (about webley being the only ones with felt). Charl.

Its a good idea to look down the barrel after every shot if youre using a silencer, ive only ever heard of it happening once though.

Eleys arent bad but the Hull cartridge jobbies are tops, stay away from continental/american cartridges, win and fiocci [spelling]are bdooly loud.

My mate took his fm 410 apart to clean it,he cleaned out the silencer body and swilled it out with parafin,he let it drain out and dry for a week, then we had a windy night,we were in a gully when he took the first shot, the flames must have been a yard long coming out of the end and it sounded like a cannon,i nearly sh*t myself,he insisted on trying it again [i stood well back] and it did the same again,we left in a hurry.
Just thought you ought to know that.
tyke.
