Well it's a lovely day so I am going pigeon decoying.

I'll take the camera and let you all know how I got on.

Well here's the hide took a little while to put together bit it did its job OK

There was no wind and it seems every farmer for miles around was cutting corn, and despite my best efforts with the decoy patten I just could not lure them in.

But I had these two grey ones and a few jackdaws but had a great day in the peace and quiet of the fields so no complaints this time.

I am just going to breast these two and will post a simple recipe in the right section, so no pigeon pie tonight for me.

Have you eaten jackdaw?

If so how do you cook it and what does it taste like?

I breast corvids and keep them for the ferts but I would give it a go as long as its not too bitter.
