nice fish! heres a couple of mine:

a crucian just shy of the british record,i sent the pick into anglers mail but would you believe it there were 5 more caught about the same size in the country that week! it fell to big lobworm with chopped lobworm groundbait by feeder,cast onto the edge of a lilly patch.

 Certainly not my biggest,but the first carp out this year,around 8/9kilos

 This was an extremely enjoyable catch,ledgered single grain of sweetcorn on a size ten hook,8lb line with a salmon spinning rod,over half an hour to put on the bank,a splendid spawned out male common of 15kgs-and wild to boot !!!,a memorable catch

cracking fish!

the only conclusive way to determine if its a pure crucian is to get a DNA test,in my view if it looks like one its good enough!

This is from a slightly different angle-but it's definately a crucian,I've had dozens up to 1kg800 from the same spot,they're not quite the same as British crucians,if anything they're a bit rougher looking and not quite as pretty,definately not a cross though,I'll put up a cross/hybrid in the next post.
