Hello everybody,

I was reading a book about float-fishing and came across " (semi) fluted Avon style floats"" I think these are handmade....?
Overhere in Holland I've never seen these types of floats, but I surely want to give them a try on our local rivers. The curent on these rivers is quite strong, so I think this type of float will do realy well.

I want to use them fishing for river perch and zander, so using them with really small bait fish (fry) say 5-7 cm. RB

Where can I get these?

very hard to find,try ebay or make one,theyre not dificult at all. not so long ago every angler had some,i used them all the time as a kid on the river avon through salisbury.

Hi ratbuster

The Drennan and Fox brands make floats specifically for river livebaiting,i use them and they perform very well,i think the Fox "fluted slider" could be what youre looking for.
