I recently got a Chinese style slingshot. I call them Pretzels. Anyway,I tried drawing it back and could only get 20-21 inches out of her so I put some new small diameter tubes on her so I could get my draw of 30"s and do a proper test. They rig their pouches with 4 holes, attaching both ends of one tube into each hole creating a loop. Stretch the loop through the slot cut into the prong and you're ready. You don't have to punch 4 holes but I wanted it the way it came. Feels like it will be pretty good with some light ammo. Will give it a try tomorrow. Flatband

Yoggerman, the frame is very strong. It's formed from Stainless steel. The Chinese didn't skimp on material! I shot it today and it's a nice little shooter with lighter ammo. I didn't do any serious testing on it,just general plinking but the speed was pretty good. I know you could make one Fish. The only thing you need to be careful of is making sure the tubes are on top when drawing back. You don't want them near that slot on the prong! Flatband

Flatband, your new toy inspired me to make my own wire frame slinghsot. Of course, I wanted it strong and I wanted to use Thera Band.

The thing is made from 1 cm steel. The "T Bars" are welded in place with "MAG" (Corgon) shielded gas welding equipment.

Here it is:

I put on some light 6 cm Thera Band gold, folded once.

The grip is thick rope, glued in place with 2 component industrial strength glue.

Shoots well!

Regards

Jörg
