A beautiful new designWanted to make a different slingshot this weekend.
The handle is made out of solid brass, polished, and the fork arms are stainless steel. Low profile and "handslap" protection is part of the design.
I like it very much! As there is no fork extension, the smooth round grip works like a self centering.

Shoots really well. The power comes down to the bands you use, I have a whole lot of different ones that can be exchanged within a sec. That is the advantage of the "Chinese" attachment method.
I like the 6.5 cm to 5.5 cm Thera Band gold set, about the same power as the Fish Hunter.
I also like the double Thera Tube Green set, which is very powerful and will last a very long time.
I even have a set of monster Thera Tube Silver for it, a challenge, and only good for shooting heavy heavy bullets.

I am preparing a whole test series of Thera Tube and Thera Band rubber.
"Joerg Sprave: On slingshot rubber."
I have prepared a wooden frame with the chrony attached, and the release is used at three different draw lenght positions.
The goal: Reliable, objective data about the rubber type that may be the best you can buy.
The chrony needs repair (broken cable), so the test will have to wait for the next weekend, I guess.

My wife is almost through medical school (she is a certified nurse and decided to go back to school after a few years on the job), so no waiting for the doctor here.
And I would never hit her shapely derriere with a slingshot bullet, not even if she behaves exceptionally naughty... which happens every now and then.
