a victorian mill pond.just down the road from us is the meet of 3 counties,wiltshire,dorset and somerset,and near there is the old nestle baby milk factory,it shut down production 15 or so years ago and since that time has gradually fallen into disrepair.out the back is a mill pond fed by a stream,as far as i know this has never been fished properly,there was clear evidence of fish activity ,with bubbles rising from tench or bream and some swirls as emergers were taken from the surface.so jack and i had a quick go with the rod,caught sod all but we had a great hour ,and i will return during the week for a proper session.heres some pics.

I enjoyed that Fish,and the bairn looks as if he is happy as larry,my kids are too hyper to sit with a rod so fishings a solo pursuit for me nowadays,unless theres a net in the bag

I dream of going out and finding a pond like that which probably hasn't been fished properly.Half the fun would be daydreaming of the possible monster fish hiding in the depths

Anyway,I managed to get the tag off my ankle without breaking the band,so the only permit I really need now is from the wife to be allowed out after dark,she is undecided on JOE at the moment,because last time I went with him I got dirt under a finger-nail

Dont worry my friend i've packed the nail brush this time, just to avoid any mistakes. Lets hope you dont get to sizzled, i've done a training course on electricity anyway so you'll be fine. What was it they said about rescueing people who are being electrocuted?? Oh yeah dont even attempt it

Fatty im offended im in peak physical fitness. Atleast i thought i was until i got called in for a meeting with my manager, apparantly im getting to fat to climb trees. That is 100% true, they're his exact words. I thought i was in quite good nick, but appparantly not. Oh well back to the hob knobs. Joe

Sounds good, i must try and make something decent with some trout. Seem to be getting plenty so it would be nice if i could enjoy a meal made from them. I still haven't been to bed since yesterday. By the time i got home and sorted i only had 1/2 hour until i had to get back up . I better go to bed soon dont want to fall asleep on my boat tommorro. Joe
