Another dog down! Pissed off!

Now both of my lurchers are out of action! Tyla is laid up with her stopper pad and looks like she will be for weeks and now Parker, the jrtxwhip, ran into a tree this morning while bushing. A 2" tear on his chest and 8 staples later i am down to the new terrier pup!

Oh dear,not good news mate.

mate your having no luck but it will change in time lol  sorry to hear about the jrx is he all right ??
Tyla

He is ok, he thinks hes made of wood! He didnt know or care that he'd done it and wanted to carry on working! its a nasty cut though but only in the skin, no muscle damage. He should be ok in a couple of weeks but its bad timing, im out of work and been keeping myself occupied bringing him and the puppy on. Will have to concerntrate on the terrier now.

Tylas stitches were taken out today but road walks only for 6 weeks. i am seriously running out of dogs to work!

youl have to do wat i did buy a stand in?   sounds silly buying another dog but mines working im having fun and hes allready got a new home sorted wen i get my dog sorted
Tyla

That is one of the reasons we got the two of them but dont reckon i will get away with buying a stand in for the stand in! Parker should only be out for a couple of weeks, it will probably be good to spend some time with Ollie, the terrier, as he is pretty new and could do with some one on one training time.

Your new one seems to be doing the business for you. When i finally get mine fit maybe i will bring them down your way and you can show me how you get them going on the bigger things! How is Charlie doing, i bet he hates being left behind when you take the others out?

tyla your welcome any time to go for a run and yes charly gos mad wen i take the other dogs out he still starts whining about 9 pm every night to go for a run lol

his stitches wer taken out today looks pretty good so fingers x hes goona be alright now .....

and i think working the terrier for a while will be good fun and a course will seem twice as fast wen you get back in action lol
Tyla

Nice one mate, cheers! Good news about Charly too.

The terrier only bushes but  it seems a bit pointless now there is nothing to catch what he flushes! Still good practice for him.

Are you going to shepton mallet on sunday?
death stretch

dont worry our dogs have also been through this
my brothers dog was on a chase and ran flat out into a solid wooden post, nocked him out for about 10 seconds then he got up shock and then went on to catch the next rabbit
hope they heal up soon

you sure it wasnt yer brother that ran into the tree???lol
Tyla

Happy to say that they are all on form again. Tylas pad took months but seems to be fine now and Parker was back at work within a couple of weeks. We've been doing plenty of daytime bunnies over the summer and looking forward to the dark nights of the new season!
