i make artificial ones from recycled xmas trees.
i make a flatened hoop from chicken wire,then insert the frond from an xmas tree into it then wrap round the wire base,xperiment where to start /finish for a nice look,when this is done i simply hot glue nuts and artificial berries on it symetrically then add a bow on the bottom,usually sell for £15.oo each.

Frond........ Branch, as in "palm frond", but from an xmas tree!

If you were going to attach cones, would you wire them on or just glue them ?

just glue,i have a wreath thats lasted 3 xmas's.

My brother gets his forms from the skip at the cemetary  nice having one of them on your door over xmas

Have you ever made any from real holly etc Fish ?
Them are the ones I used to make, fingers sore for ages with the prickles.

i have made 'living ones ' but as you say the sore hands aint worth the money! theres a few instructionals on youtube,its gonna be a good year for holly berries too!

I m gonna take a trip down to a park the other side of town today, It s got a massive tree that s got real big cones on it, they are dropping now so will go n collect a load to dry out ready to spray for xmas,
