bad afternooni've had a bit of a bad afternoon, working the dogs through a patch of hawthorn bushes the lurcher came back to me with his head on 1 side, on closer inspection he had put a thorn into his eye while chasng a rabbit, the thorn had gone right in and out again through the centre, i took him to the vets straight away and hes looked at it , the vet isn't sure if he'll lose the eye or be blinded, he isn't to confident that his sight will be saved.
I'm gutted as he puts alot of nice meat on the table and to think he might be blind is a real kick in the nuts, i've got to go back to the vet on monday so he can have another look ,
I'll let you know how i get on.......

had a look at the dog this morning at 7 and the eye looks as if nothing has happened to it, only a scratch on the actual eye, i'm going to keep giving him the drugs the vet gave me and hopefully he'll still have his sight.. with any luck
