Been ferreting todayBeen out today and used my ferret that tends to mess round, fair dooos he worked well and savaged me in the process !
We were working a set of around 25 holes and didn t quite have enough nets to cover them all so covered the best ones and kept our fingers crossed.
First bunnies shot out with him hanging on his tail, covered in blood cause he d had a go down hole, then he bolted another one out and got stuck in a net himself. As I was getting him out he was spitting and snapping at me like a little terrier and somehow managed to get the inside of my finger with his fang, Ouch and it went straight through as well,I think it was a mix of fright and excitment.
We went on to catch another two bunnies, so we had 4 in total a throbbing finger and a very proud mum cause I was begining to think he was no good for working so it does pay to keep trying them.
I think he knows what to do now.

well doneHEY TARA well done. as the age old exspression goes (no pain no gain) lol. use to ferret alot with me uncles tho aint been 4 ages. use to not net the holes sumtimes to n stand back with the 12 BLAST the bunnys when they bolt out HEHE good fun that. yes keep workin ur ferret the more he works the better hel get. and handle him alot too THEN HE WONT BITE AS MUCH LOL.  well take care and all the best with ur outdoor adventures TMTC
