this catty is made of macarta i think that is how it is spelled. it is made from compressed fibre and resin, its a new product to me its very strong lightweight lighter than ally there are brass studs for show. £30 plus p+p |

yeah micarta is a realy tough and light material... like you say it's made by compessing layers of cloth and resin together
it can even be made with alternating coloured cloth's .. so it produces a more laminated colour once shaped... similar to those coloured laminated stock's you now see on modern rifle's
