but sadly in chronographic test its 30% less powerfull than the hunterbands from the same length of rubber and drawn to 29 inches. chrono doesnt lie.

Will your double bands fit through 6mm holes, would attaching them in this way affect there performance.I like the cattie i have, just need a bit more power i think.

but iv put a half oz led ball nearly rite through a a roosted pheasant from a miss placed shot but as it is every one to there own and i cant see those gold flats doing that ?? but its a good shot needed to kill cleanly more than power so i expect there will be a few poeple practising for the winter and we can find out the range and distance that poeple have been killing at were the power stops

addmitedly even the weakest rubber will kill with a very well placed shot.hunting with a catapult is about skill and the bower helps a lot.

Hi Warlock,
don't know what kind of frame you have, but I rigged up an old Milbro and put the bands "Over the top" of the forks and tied the bands with thin pieces of rubber under the opening for the hole. Worked out great. I think I have a picture somewhere-I'll check. Flatband
Check out the middle one. I used thin bands and rubber tape.

Are those two metal ones both Milbros? Can you please explain those two? Jaybird

Hi Jaybird, no,the middle one is the only Milbro. The other metal one is a 50's "Little David' slingshot from the U.S. The wooden one is from the late 50's too and is called a 'Pic Shooter". After the Wham-o came out in the US in the early 50's,you had a bunch of people coming out with models very similar to the Wham-o. This one is another example of a Wham-o type. Flatband

Hey, I forgot to mention something about that picture. In case anyone couldn't recognize that rubber on the Little David slingshot (first one on the left), it is called Vulcollan. I tried all over the world to get a batch of this stuff. It is a Polyurethane rubber. It is produced by license from Bayer in Germany and only companies with Bayers permission can manufacture it. I did mange to finally get a piece -Mel(slingshots of the world) sent it to me. It was good but Latex still bet it out. There are different formulations of it with Durometers down to 10. You could probably find a great band formulation but it would take some money. We get a bunch of us nuts together, pool our money, buy some Polyurethane and come up with an awesome slingshot rubber. We'll work out of Fish's shed! Whatcha think Fish? Flatband

I have hunted with all three and think the flatbands are stronger, but as has been said you'v got to hit what you are aiming at for any pwer to count.
