great pics mate , i love dartmoor . i used to camp not far from princetown, a place called grims pound .

I do spend quite alot of time up there. You can't beat walking around the place, so many different places to go. Don't know grims pound fish. I usually stay around the Okehampton area but will spend more time down near prince town.

grims pond is north of ivybridge near the neolithic standing stone avenues.

up on the ridge there is a by-way,known locally as the noddy railway as there used to be a train that carried tin from the mine furthur north.

Rare to see a blue sky up there. Usually cold and wet but best of all , peacefull! Did read a bit about the old railway that is nearby. Trying to talk the wife into going walking up on the moors tomorrow.

the last time i camped there was a few christmasses ago,it went down to -8 !! bdooly cold! and only sheep for company!
