Dip NetThis dip net is a replica of of nets that were once in Pennsylvania for migrating shad. It is made of linen twine attatched to the iron rim of a discarded wooden wagon wheel. The support ropes are also linen, twisted using a Boy Scout Pioneering rope twister.

Like the Hammer Net shown in another thread it is illegal to use nowadays. 4' diameter rim, 3/4" wide mesh gauge. Tony

hey asemery,over here we call that a drop net.used to land fish from piers and jetties,harbour walls etc. i also use similar for catching prawns and crabs. lovely work.
