eelshow long should you hot smoke eels for, i've been told 60---90 mins but i only smoke trout for about 40 mins   ..mack

as with all cooking mate it depends on the size of the fish! give it a poke with a knife aftr 40 minutes to see if its done! lucky sod! i love eel! i remember when eels were so easy to come by,as a lad laying out night lines on my paper round and checking the next day,made a right mess of my paper bag i can tell e!

We got plenty of eels up here, although noone catches them with the fly or spinner. Easy to catch with a piece of fish or worms though.
Always freaked me out the way they wrap themselves around you even after you remove the head.
