First Catty AttempsHad a go at making a few catties out of some oak I had lying around, so here they are.

They're lovely  What did you finish them with? i've just cut some oak into boards to make my fisrt catty's with. I hope they turn out as good as those!!

do you not have any trouble with the forks breaking of i made a cattie out of an oak floor board and i didnt even manage to get the bands fitted and one of the prongs split and broke off,so i thought oak was no good for them.

I had the same problem with some breaking so now i love to stick to natural forks for strength,but you made a lovely job of them well done.Let me know if you want to try some .50 latex Flatbands on them.

Thanks guys. I finished them with true oil. The Ergo and the left one still need a few more coats. They seem very strong I've tried snapping the forks and they are solid. Thanks Farrier am gonna try latex on them and linatex and also got som hunter bands from fish waiting to be fitted.
