first sea trout of the season!went to salisbury today on the market bus,we got our shopping done before the bus was ready.so with an hour to waste i thaught about a bit of fishing.As i rarely leave home without a handline i set about finding a nice spot,this one looked perfect!
within a couple of minutes i had what ime sure is a seatrout! about 14 inches long silvr with black spots,and a definite 'wrist'above the tail! then i moochedupstream to the back of tesco and caught a fine Avon brownie! my nippers loved it!,had i had more time i could have filled a bag,but tide and village busses wait for no man!

its very similar to salmon maybe a bit better,with this being a fresh run fish itll superb! the brownie i may smoke! :smt001

We used to get them straight from the estuary,lice on their gills,and grill them over a driftwood fire some nights,incredible taste :smt005
