Fish hunter vs Barnett strike 9

Which is better?
fish

depends on what you mean by better, the barnet srike 9 only shoots at 122fps the hunter at 210fps.

Nice, i recently purchased the barnett and think its quite powerfull.
But since your sl ingshot is more powerfull and compact i will be buying that too!

the only thing the store bought ones have on a homemade (especially fish's)
is that the round tube power bands seem to last longer..other than that i think you will be much happier  with one of fish's fine catties.  they are a faster shooting catty with less (noticeable) band resistance. and in my humble yet deadly accurate opinion much better looking and something you can be proud of carrying.

not to bust your balls but comparing fish's catties to a barnett  is like comparing a picture you printed off your computer and a fine oil painting.  sure they both convey an image, but its just a plain matter of craftsmanship that makes the difference.  do you want store bought junk or hand made quality??  trust me when you get your hunter you will not touch that barnett again.  have fun shooting      and remember to post pics of your kills with that new hunter of yours.

The Barnett is a soulless, cheaply made, weak mass product.

The Fish Hunter is a hand made, very powerful and well designed slingshot from someone who studied modern catapult technology very diligently and uses the top materials and attachment methods currently known.

The Barnett has only one advantage, the low price. But the rubber really does not last longer, because of the cheap attachment method. The constant contact of the band against the steel fork tip causes tears fairly soon, especially when you draw it out far to get some kind of power out of it.

Thanks for the input, i just ordered my hunter so im hoping it will arrive soon!

should be with you tomorrow by 1pm.

I've just ordered an Ergo Hunter.   Hope it 'feels' as nice as it looks.

A nice feel to it...

I have had mi Fish Green Hunter for a couple of weeks now and I am very pleased with it.

Everyone on here will tell you about the terrific power you get from a Fish-made catty...and its very true. I have been digging the ammo out of the back gate!

What I would like to add is the aesthetics are a lot nicer than a piece of "mass produced" metal and plastic. At the risk of a "double entendre"

"You get a really good feeling, shooting with it"

It is also easy to conceal in my field jacket, unlike the barnett which when trying to stow it quickly is like trying to get a nuns knickers off.

When the darker nights are upon us, it will be put to the test roosting pheasants...and I can't wait
Jermaine

Cant wait to try it out.
fish

ide love to see some pics of the catties in action!

Well I feel slightly spoilt here coz i actually had my green hunter catty handed to me by the man himself (no P+P for me)
Yup i had mine delivered in person by the man himself and we had a real good evening with the man and his family and I have to say it,s a shit hot piece of kit bit like a cross between a bow and a muzzle loader slightly more powerful than most air rifles and dead accurate once you get your eye in well done justin mate your on a serious winner and thanks for the hospitality when you came down
Ive said it before and I,ll say it again get that young un of yours some flint so he can make me an arrow head pendant

Jermaine
