get it outwent ferriting today with a few mates ferret wouldnt come out so we started digging with sticks (no spade) and we must of moved half a ton of dirt my god it was hard day but we later reapd the rewards. does any1 know a good way to get a ferret out

i tried sitting bak but it was to cold there must o been 6inches of cold snow and no hipflask in sight but i will remember your words of wisdom HIP FLASK cheers fish. we tried smoking the ferret out but it just wouldnt come out

thing is its freezin out windy and generally nasty,down the hole is warm and food...............mmmmmmmmmmmm i think ide stay down there too!

locater find it's loction then dig down or my a liner put a line onto ferrets collar then dig along the line to you get to your ferret

Heard of loads of ways. Locator and a spade the most reliable.
Or a sack with haw and rabbit guts at one of the lowest burrow entrances. Just leave it and check it every few hours. The idea is the ferret has a good feed and settles down for a sleep. Never tried it so dont know if it works or not.
I know this may sound awful but I used to wait while we had a cuppa and a smoke then carry on ferreting. If it didnt show up by the time we went home, well, if anyone spots any ferrets on the forest they're mine!!!

ive waited till dark before and dug a hundred holes lol but a locater saves time and head ache lol
and if its dark then i fill the holes and come back in the morning and start again lol

dig if its killed sometimes the ferret is reluctant to come out and i no theres no bunnys left in there so i grab a rabbit stick it in the mouth of the hole jiggle it about abit pull it up and the ferret will be on the end of it

pour petrol down wait a little while. then light it.
that will get the fecker out
or kill him

or dont go at all lol i was miles away from home and it was sweeds heads ferret and he was driving. we dug it out with stiks
