theyre very good but badly effected by the UV in natural daylight,as apposed to theraband which has UV inhibitors added to preserve its longevity.

I have had a roll of both, they last about the same number of shots as each other ,but Latex bands are thicker so make stronger faster bands,no need to double them up.As for UV resistance i never had either last long enough to matter, but i suppose you could just keep them out the sun quite easily, unless you want to use them as dashboard decoration.I never got into thereabnd my friend and i had a roll and we had used it all in a week or so,i was fed up of the short time we were getting out of the bands, mind you we were going for it back then.

The only problem i`ve found with gum rubber is when the weather
gets cold the gum rubber stiffens up and you lose power
sheet latex loses very little power in the cold
theraband i don`t know yet i havent used it in the winter
cheers stu

There are all kinds of variations of Gum Rubber. I've tried all different types. I find that some gum is awesome, others stink. One thing I have found though is that gum will usually outlast other type rubber. Usually it is quite durable-especially cube(square) rubber and is good with the heavier ammo. As far as cold weather performance, all types of rubber and Latex will suffer some sort of power loss. I've had some gum that performed pretty good in the cold. Latex tubes are the worst, thin Latex sheeeting is probably your best bet. The thinner stuff will always out perform the thicker stuff in colder weather. Flatband
