i was feeding him red mills racer with a protein content of 27% and red mills tracker with a protein content of 20% mix, i've since cut him down to a 18% food to see if that makes a difference, also there is no mange on him or the other dogs he's kenneled with,i was using shredded paper as bedding but i've changed to using old quilts as i was before .so hopefully his hair will return.

wow, i dont known nothing about dog protien(im only 15) but i only feed mine 19% protien and he is fit and healthy now, when we had his dad we were feeding him about 27% protien which made him looze hair so we bumped his protien down and it grew back

hi protien foods are good for working dogs my friend feeds 30% protien in his food mix just be sure to work your dog hard as that wat it is put into the food for hard working dogs could be a number of things even stress ?

i'm thinking it might be the protein content, a bit to high for him, as there isn't any problem with the lurcher and collie, also it might be a little stress as i've been working long hours and not spending the usual amount of time with them, but i'm back to normal now, so hopefully his hair will start to grow back
