How Accurate Are You With A Catty?

Heya folks,

I'm just trying to establish how accurate it is possible to become using a catapult. I define accuracy as hitting the target 2 out of 3 times. I am currently accurate to about 20 yards. How about you?
fish

I used to be able to hit rabbits in the head at about twenty yards with a black widow , not really had the chance to practice since getting back into catties but will hopefully manage to change that soon. Could still hit cans at a distance with one of fish's hunters the other night.

depends on the target size, I can hit a barn door 2 out of 3 times at 40 yards LOL

Actually I just started with a slingshot and only have 11 yards practice lane. at that distance I can hit a pop tin about 90% of the time and hope to get better with more practice

I started badly ------- and have remained consistant!!! after a year ? i reckon i'm about 60% at 15 yds, but  i live in hope !! (my mate reckons i shoot in hope as well! )

i must admit instinctive shooting s a gift!

Once you start hitting a can more often than not a smaller target that I find challenging but doable, is one of those lightweight plastic golf balls with lots of holes in, on a bit of string. They are very durable coz they're designed to be hit with a golf club. If you're interested in hunting they represent a target the size of a rabbit or pheasants head, as soon as you can hit that you're accurate enough to hunt. Practice at different distances  ( the last 4 rabbits I shot were 2 at around 20 yards and 1 at 6 yards and 1 at 3 yards ! )

I used to be accurate at a bout 20 yards on cans and crows now im not so good... I can still knock a crow/maggie out of a tree at say 15 yards but thats after I miss one shot then hit on the other.

i can hit a roosted bird at about 30 yards up in the dark and my brother can hit a pheasant at twice that, out of a jeep window but its instinct and we have shot catapults all our lifes so it just feels natrual
