i suggest maceration, if you just boil the skull its just gonna make it brittle and *****, you will also be able to get all the meat off if you macerate though its very smelly and takes a while you will get the best results

While I was away I saw a hippo skull. Imagine carving a hippo skull like that and hanging it in the front room!

might go to the local indian take away they use cow heads for there meat the cheapest way out for them and that way the scull will be clean of flesh i used to be a skip lorry driver and saw the proof of what them type of restraunts use
