I know it's a knifeVery sharp knife. Leading edge is like a chisel and blade is curved from use and sharpening. I think it must have been used in some trade or profession. Which one?

its a leather workers knife...i have seen a lot of saddle makers use something of that description.

Thanks for the input. Leatherwork in some form seems to be the concensus. One other suggestion is tobacco leaf cutting knife in the hand made cigar trade.

tabacco knives have a handle on each end and are a half round shape i think its a some sort of leather work knife aswell looks quite old aswell
