I thought the finished balls were a lot better from the lee moulds.I have ordered one and a melter as well,the Farrier has gone mad for catapulting!

i use the lee double cavity 440 round ball mold. this is an actual muzzle loading rifle bullet mold with a sprue cutter and will give you nice round uniform ammo without rough sprue spots. til someone comes out with a ten cavity mold with built in sprue cutter i'll stick with the lee double cavity.

Thats what i thought Wildman so i ordered the same as you.Do you use a Lee Melter as well??

i do most of my melting in a cast iron pot over the fire and sometimes on a coleman stove. i also have a small copper ladle that i forged and i use it over the fire a lot if i just want to load a 100 rounds or so.
