Lost 2 arrows.

On Wednesday night I found myself in France. Which was handy because I had my bow and bowhunting is legal there. I'm well pleased because it only took me 10 mins to get there from junction 8 of the M25. I aint too clever with map reading so I'm not sure of my EXACT location in France.
I had my 50lb Samick Lightning and half a dozen pine shafted self arrows, 4 with judo points and 2 broadheads. I thought I'd have a stalk through the woods to try for a couple of squirrels, rabbits or pheasants. I started off into the woods and in the fortnight since I've been there the trees and bushes have really grown. After 10 minutes of making loads of noise, getting my bow caught in every fcuking tree and knocking arrows out of my quiver, I walked onto a footpath and decided to try the set aside fields. I had a quick glance across the first field and spotted a fox about 100 yards away hunting mice in the long grass. I slipped a broadhead onto my bow and started making my way towards the fox. I'd got to within 40 yards of the fox and had crouched right down to try and get close enough for a shot (20 yards). I was behind a line of bushes and had the wind in my face and slowly crept towards where I could make a shot. I moved forward like a ninja all stealthy and quiet and then put my foot in a rabbit hole and fell arse over tit like an old lady on an icy path. I jumped to my feet and checked to see where the fox was, he was about a mile and a half away running flat out!
I slipped a judo point onto my string and headed towards some rabbits I could see in the distance. Keeping close to the edge of the field I approached a warren that always holds a few rabbits. A large buck got up out of the grass about 15 yards in front of me and trotted towards the hedge. I drew back and tracked him, he came to a stop just before the hedge and had a final look at me, I loosed the shot and followed the arrow towards the rabbit, it slipped just under his chin and he jumped over the shaft and hopped into the hedge!!! Retrieving my arrow I looked out across the field and could make out the top of a pair of ears in the long grass, a couple of steps to the right and I had a shot at about 20 yards, I clicked my tongue and the coney sat up, I shot and hit him low at the bottom of his ribcage, he rolled over onto his side. I walked over to where the rabbit was laying and as I was 10 foot away he jumped onto his feet and started running away with my arrow stuck straight through him! I watched as he disappeared through the grass flattening a nice wide path. I lost him as he made the bushes and couldn't find him. I doubt he could get down a hole because he was a lot wider than when he came out of one. I made my way back to where we were shooting clays and called the blokes who were shooting and told them to stop while I walked across the field. They thought it would be funny to try and hit me with clays and started launching them towards me, I shouted at them to launch one over my head and I'd try and shoot it with my bow. As the clay flew towards me I let an arrow fly and missed the clay by about a foot to the right, then watched as the guys standing on the firing line started running around trying to avoid the arrow that was arching towards them! It sailed over their heads and into the trees behind them, as they were all ducking no one watched where it fell and I lost my second arrow of the day!!

I noticed a few deer that were within bow range in a little village called Le Popley!! Just in the woods by the roundabout in La rue de Carpenters Down. I don't know what your French is like but it shouldn't be a problem as most of the locals speak resonabley good English.
