I managed to make me two natural one's : one made of hazel en antler , the other one cut in the wood, don't know the correct name of the wood used.
The one with the red tubes does it quite good with the 8mm lead balls, for the flatband one I need some heavier ammo.

Very nice. I reckon what you need for the Netherlands is some sort of 'quick attach/release' mechanism for your bands which can be incorporated into the top of a walking stick.
That way, the bands are in your pocket with the ammo (possibly attached to a pair of eybolts like Jorg used to make the non-welded all metal cat?) and they can be quickly slotted into the top of your stick, shot fired, rabbit dispatched and bands back into your pocket in no time.
Unless you're really unlucky and someone actually see's you take the shot, then you're not a man out for a walk with a break-down catapult... You're a man out for a walk with a stick and a bizarre rubber band/surgical tubing bondage fetish which is all perfectly healthy, normal and above all legal for the Netherlands!

Catties are the most evil invention in the eyes of the legislator, so I have to "undress " it in a simple way, the top of my thumb-stick can be used as a cattie or is it the other way round. the leather thong is not for stabelizing the wrist, no I use it as proper underwear while walking in the woods.
One has to be inventive while living in a free country like the Netherlands; the home of the brave, the free sex & the homegrown (potatoes).......
