My first attempt at a cattyHere if my first attempt at an aluminium catty based on my milbro forks. extensive use of the dremel for the forks and a whole load of rubbing and sanding with with fine grade paper then a final polish with Autosol.
The scales are made from spalted beech found by accident when splitting logs for the fire so I put it through the bench saw to get it down to a good size then shaped and polished it and a final oiling with linseed and beeswax mix.
Came out OK even if I do say so myself

your catapultThat is one fine-looking catty! I need to do some more polishing on the one I just built but don't have the stuff to do so here......love the scales on it, too! Hope it works out great for you.
