Thanks to reading this forum /and others, and thanks to the freebies i recieved from one and all ,and mostly thanks to my mate Fish , i am now the proud owner of an allotment!! or 1/2 an allotment to be exact, i met a guy i went to school with 44 year ago,who keeps pigeons ,and he has given me half his allotment as he did'nt have the time to work it all, so it's "all hands to the pumps" now as i try and get some crops in , luckily it's been a late spring so i have'nt lost much growing time, i will keep you up to date with my progress,

Aha, been as you like growing stuff perhaps you can give me some tips on what to grow now. I ve got a patch in my garden I want to grow stuff in but I m one of these that only grows potatoes and I literaly throw them in and hope for the best.
Can you give me any suggestions please.

broad beans,beetroot,spuds,peas,leeks,cabbages,chard,onion sets, and worth trying early runner beans,just watch out for frost.aprill realy is the month most things get started.
