No Goose again this year kids!!Blanked in spectacular style again this year in my pursuit of a goose for Christmas dinner. The things are just too high. They fly over my shoot on thier way to a lake, I was hoping to at least bag one this year  .
I did however manage a nice little bag of 23 woodies yesterday and one very careless rabbit.
I did however have a back up plan in the freezer in the way of a Iceland turkey crown.
So Mr Canada goose, I'll be seeing you next year matey!!

If you're concerned about blanking, DON'T go wildfowling. I've spent many a day in mud, rain, sleet, snow and winds all for the the chance of a shot at a duck or goose, without even seeing a bird.
Secondly Canada goose tastes like shite!!! Your kids will thank you!!

Well most of thier better tasting cousins have done a bunk for the winter. 
Its not that bad tasting!

bad luck snap! had much the same success yesterday,we went out to grab a goose but there were too many dog walkers about!
