I normally get home after dark, but this was my dog's first pheasant, so I rushed home in excitement. Is it true you guys can't use dogs? Ironic, considering my dog is an English Springer Spaniel. Since then, she has flushed at least a hundred and fifty pheasants, and I've gotten 14 of them. My friend's have gotten some others. She also caught one alive, and I broke its neck. We cook the whole bird, they are so delicious.

wow great dog! we cant use dogs to actually catch game now but can still flush with them and of course use them to retrieve game (sometimes when it aint quite dead...............)

thanks
Thanks she is a good dog, could use a better shot for a master though:) She hunts very close but I need practice aiming.
I went out for deer this year so she is eager to hunt (she can't hunt deer where I live, and I've trained her not to chase deer because she can be shot for doing that by others).
Might bring her up to hunt some grouse I found, though it is in such wild area you could do just as well without a dog (they don't seem to be skittish).
