Corking fish Steve, never actually fished with rod-and-line for bass, had them with other methods but wouldnt mind hooking up with something as big as one of those on light tackle :D
Wrecking?I used to go out of Whitby and Hartlepool in the late 80's,HEAVY tackle losses mate on some of those wrecks, especially the ones festooned with ghost-nets,but we had incredible sport, back then the best methods were jiggers-and-muppets :D
My brother-in-law has fished for Cod twice in the last few years over in Norway, still possible to make good bags over there mate :D

saw a program on the telly ,i think it was a rick stein one, fishing the coastal waters of iceland, they were catching plenty of cod ,then he cooked puffin!

It used to be common in the UK to harvest sea-birds fish,I can imagine puffins being edible, they are caught in those long handled landing-nets,like a swipe-net?Necessity is the mother of invention,my childhood was spent in the north-east of england, living right on the coast,we used to get loads of sea-birds,gulls cormorants etc,but they all went as ferret-food,I never tried to eat them
steve
were getting a few new types of fish turn up out bassing, turbot, and gurnard how the hell a gurnard takes a 6/o hook with a 9inch sandeel amazes me
