One of the National Horse Ploughing Championships.
The ploughman is concentrating on a piece of the hedge behind me to get his opening furrow as straight as possible!
After a few seconds, I was asked, in no uncertain term, to move!
Get out of the ******* way! Strange that!
Regards, Peter.

ide love a go at that! been watching the 'vitorian farm' on bbc?

Great picture of the concentration on the mans face, it was always my goal in life to plough with a pair of horse , never ever done it yet, i've harrowed, rolled, carted, with them, i even made a sledge and moved big strw bales with a horse, my old man used to work them and said that it was bdooly hard work if you did'nt get a pair of horse that "worked" together, imagine walking 11 miles a day with one leg on the land and one 6inches lower in the furrow? with your back bent? trying to hold a plough straight and even?? and on top of all that you had to try and steer the horse as well!! mind you my old man managed it and still found time to pull the rubber back and fill the pot as well.
i wish i could ?? if only ?? maybe one day ?? naw i dont think i'll ever fill the old yins boots
