OUT FOR A WALK,well the forum has gone very quite,no interesting storys, I was out for a walk yesterday,myself and my Lady, and we come across a young man,in his early twenties, he had a young lurcher bitch with him, I started to talk with him, about the weather then on to his dog, I asked him how is she bred?? then he said, she has about four xs, in her greyhound/whippet,deerhound, saluki, to me she looked like a greyhound/whippetx saluki, about 24" high, short coupled, I enquired how long have you had her? only about 6weeks, and she is my first lurcher, and I only want her for rabbits, well I said she will certainly do that for you, but may I suggest something to you, yes he said, please tell me, ((( her feet were flat as pancakes, and her toe nails were so long her toes were starting to twist over to one side,)) Have her nails cut as soon as possible, and start walking her morning and night,roadwork and in about 6 weeks time you will have a nice fit looking bitch on your hands, then he opened her mouth, ((( we call brown mouth fed on a poor diet, low protien, again I suggested, good dog meat, ((( not tinned meat)) with some tripe through it, ((( only very simple suggestions, I wish the Lad and his bitch the best of luck in this coming season, and she fills his dreams,

thats a good read its nice to give a bit addvice to the younger hunter and your right it has gone quiate on here i must get out and about me self for a mootch see what storys i can post atb DS

no worries about it being quiet on here mate,its the time of year,most of our members are country folk and so are busy outdoors with the lengthening days.
nice bit of advice for that lad,did you tell him about the shed?!

yes good advice its been quiet on here but ive been coursing shooting and lamping every other day loadsa stories and pics il hav to start posting again lol

I was down your way this morning having a wander around with a friend, was temted to give you a call. Was dying of thirst and fancied a coffee..!!!
We didnt see a thing as it goes, apart from a few roe.....not much use as he only has the shooting rights....

nice story.. its always good to point a novice in the right direction, even well heeled regualars need a few tips now and again.....

Would have been nice just to catch up for a chat mate. I was a bit unsure as the two People I was with are sound but a bit green. We had three lurcher pups, a jrt and a 7 year old runner with us and didnt want to take the p**s.
I'll come over soon and have a run round with you.
