self taught or trained

cant help but notice how many skilled members are on here that seam to beable to turn their hand to anything,are most of use  self taught  or were brought up around crafts.

its in the blood,i actually believeits in yer DNA ,my dad is a top model aircraft designer and maker ,my mother was a skilled hobby crafter,my great grandmother was a seamstress to Queen Victoria!

i was raised mostly on what a poacher could fetch home in the mid fiftys ie rabbits pheasants black tip rabbit and the odd deer and any thing else that didnt cost the earth that poacher was my dad god bless him  and me and my brothers from a young age were taught the skills of the poacher and making your owne catty was one of the first things we were taught

Bit of both for me really the best thing I have learned is lateral thinking when I was working with an old boy, he taught me to always visualise the end result before you start.

I come from a long and continuing line of crafty people so it might be as fish says in the blood.

il have to say in the blood cos me dad hates coursing lol but he tought me to shoot a catty and no i put the old boy to shame hahahahahahahaaa

everything i know i got from the internet or a book........... looking forward to skinning my first rabbit, i'm hoping to do one in the next 10 year's or so

My grandmother was a dressmaker, my mum is a dab hand too. My Dad was a cabinet maker.

I'm an aprentice served carpenter but can pretty much turn my hand to most things of a practical nature, when I get the time!!

i strongly believe if you get bid strong money for something you should sell it, no matter what it is..
when you turn it down take notice something bad happens to it sooner or later

or just put a verry large price on it what yogger is saying i trurly believe if some one asks me is that for sale i allways put a price on it if i dont want to sell it i over price it yogger man is my 1st cousin and our family have been tought to always put somthing on offer if asked cos if you dont like yog sead it will eiher die break or go missing

Totally agree I got 16 camels and 4 sheep for my daughter in Tunisia a couple of years ago but the wife made me give them back now what a right little mare the girl has turned out to be
