sheath making anyone

Hi all

I have a really neat folding machete from the philipine war but would like a sheath for it what would be the best way to go around making one?

I will add a few pics later so you get the idea of what I am looking at.

Cheers

As you can see it does have a removable blade guard but I would prefer not to use it as it will get lost.

The handle is 1.1/4" at the widest part, it is a very heavy duty tool.

Thanks...

This is a US Army Air Force issue pilot aviator CATTAURAGUS folding machete survival knife.
It is identified as WWII issue, usually carried in the cockpit as part of the pilot's escape and evasion gear (B-2 and later B-4 kits).  It is blade marked with a script Cattaraugus and U.S.A.  The Bakelite composite handle scales are black. It has the original metal edge guard. It is shown open, and measures 15-1/2 inches overall, and 11-1/4 inches folded.

I bought it at the Bath and west country fair a couple of years ago for the bargain price of £18 he wanted £25 but had had a hard day and I was skint but really wanted it so haggled for my life.

Now if you think that is a bargain I must post a pic of my pre-WW11 Bowie that I bought from a paranoid stall holder at a boot fair in Hastings for £4.
