nice pics mate looks like a succesfull day!so what happens to all the birds? cant buy them at market now as they have to be refridgerated! who ever heard of hanging game in a fridge!!!!

looks like a good head of game there nice to see a good mixture of game in the bag, we got a few snipe on the shoot yesterday never seen so many snipe, is it just locally or are other people seeing more snipe this year, still good numbers of wood cock about, nice pictures k9 will post some of our next shoot.

was up shooting were i took the pics usually the bogs at the foot of the mountian are teeming with snipe never rise a one i kept thinking on the way home i could have shot a bag full in the fields at the house rise them every morning when im walking the dogs

All the guns and beaters.pickers up take some birds but the majority go to Game dealer,there is a large demand for woodies pheasent and duck for the posh restaurants but the shoot gets very little in relation to what the restaurants charge.

We too have large amounts of snipe on the peaty floody ground ,on one drive 100 shots for three snipe 
Woodcock too are in large numbers .Yesterday we had 12 one one wood alone.

Snipe i don't know never tried you cook it with guts in it .The wee thing is so small and beautiful i aint got the heart to do it. :smt010
Woodcocks taste is a little bit stronger than Golden Eagle. Only kidding a bit like woodpigeon IMO.
