thats the thing, dont get caught! for example a chap i know was caught lifting cony from snares,he just claimed he was walking the dog and found all these rabbits in the snares and thaught he'd help himself as they were obviously ill gotten by some poacher! the cps decided there was insufficiant chance of a successfull conviction and charges dropped!

I was once "seen" taking a pheasant from a wire, but i knew i had been seen so i hot footed it to the estate office and started rantin and raving about animal rights and cruelty, i demanded that they called the police etc, after about 5mins the old keeper came in puffing away and saying "get the cops, i nearly had him !! i turned and looked at him and said "Your bdooly hopeless i just picked these (about 10/12 snares) of your fence, you should be ashamed, cruelty!" The estate manager piped up " aye you'll have to pay a bit more attention" I walked away pissing myself, i met the keeper years later and he just laughed and said i never liked the job anyway thats why i packed it in.
P.S. He's now a traffic warden (still a s--- house)

Right ok then, as I don t know about snare cause I don t use them, might seem a daft question to some but, are snares allowed to be used legally or not or does it depend say if you have permission to use the land. Are you able to use them legally only when you have permission off the landowner ?

Oh god, I couldn t tell you which ones they are, all I can tell you is they are a wire noose with a piece, like string attached to them.
I had them when I bought a load of nets for ferreting and they were in the bag with them. But I wouldn t use them.

f*cking used to love a snare, i was learnt by the best how to use em,
remember havin a few bull-type's a while back when i lived on a bit of land
and had snare's everywhere. to barb wire fences, near he hedgerow's, open field you name it.. all set a hands width high in a run.... between them rabbit's and a few paunch's from the slaughter them dog's lived like king's and for next to nothing.... caught the odd fox in em aswell while he was in the rabbit run's............
