mine was when by 7 year old son Robin caught a monster 23lb carp whilst fishing a floating crust! took him 30 minutes to land it,beats my pb by 13lb!!!! :roll:

due to the bad weather weve had this summer i only got 3 trips on the sandbanks for bass but we did have one good day plenty of bass on sand eels drifted over the banks ,the day i could not go me mate caught a 13 and a half pound bass which he returned alive as we have a rule on the boat all 8 pound plus bass go back alive if not to badly hooked, first time on the suffolk coast this year we have had a good run of turbot.

My best day this season was 20 Rainbow at Fontburn, on a very wet and windy day !!!!

Best moment this session was when out on my first ever salmon fishing experience I was fortunate enough to catch and land a 10.5lb cock fish.

Now happily sat in the freezer and being eaten quickly!

I have managed to hook two decent sized salmon this year, both while fishing for trout. With a 9ft fly rod and 4lb nylon, unfortunately I've yet to land one. The king of fish.

I had a few good sessions last year catching a few carp and other things. My two favourite fishing memories of last season are firstly photographing a big carp feeding on a piece of bread,, pics are on another forum. Favourite actual fishing trip would have to be when me and my mate fished a private fishing pond full of carp. Its only tiny just a village pond but we each caught a few small carp and i caught a lovely common of about 10lb all on a match rod and off the surface. Great fun.

first of all let me say mine wasnt a fishing experiance but i hope youl all like nonetheless...........................memorable for all the wrong reasons,, rite where do i begin ok i was rat shooting an a dairy farm with a couple of mates/cousin's all with air-rifle's and scope mounted lamps <red-filters> and gettin a nice few,, now then this one rat i couldnt get an aim on and he ran up in one the wheel's of a parked tractor it was to straight on to get a shot so i undone the gate of the feeding bay to the right to get a better angle ,, this barn is like walkin on ice slippery as fcuk weve all had some near misses that olympic judge's would hold up score card's for movement and flexability,, but this time my right heel slid forward's whilst my left foot stayed place,, i had my new air arma and wasnt dropping that for love nor money, so all in a split second i somehow twisted myself and landed on my right buttock in a somewhat scissors/splits position sitting in a couple of inches of cold watery cow shit and piss,, i'm quite a large character weighing well over 20 stone needless to say all my weight crashing down with back strait on one side of me arse was going to jarr or twist something ,, as quickly as i dropped i was up top amazement of my mates who saw all this at extreme close range,, my cousin jim walked with me to the tap and hosed off as much as he could which left me still stinkin of piss and now drownded from the midsection down,,, i walked round to my van and now some serious pain was setting in i couldnt get in the motor in that stata so i stripped off ,, wearing only jeans and a jumper i was now bald-bollock-naked only socks on stood in a farmyard trying to get in a van with crippling back pain drivin back i rang the missus and said very briefly ,i'm naked could you bring me out a pair of short's when i pull upo outside she started screaming,WHER THE FCUK AVE YOU BEEN as if i'd bin off up to trick's with another woman,,, when i got home she gave me shorts while laughing at me iwalked inside with the movement of a pregnant babboon tryin to walk uprite after showerin of the nastyness and dosin meself up with pain killers it took me about 5 minutes to get on the bed i was in agony,, another 5 minutes to get off and sit twisted lying on the sofa ,, for about 4 day's i couldnt move i got better but still isnt rite,,, p.s i can laugh about now seeing how funny it was and its one of tbhe best storys i tell everyone falls about laughing when i tell it,,,,,,,,, I THINK THATS ABOUT THE MOST MEMORABLE SESSION I'L EVER HAVE,,, AND DONT WANT ANOTHER LIKE IT EVER
