The Rural Pastimes Show 2008The Rural Pastimes Show.This is an excellent show and a cracking day out for the whole family. Covering the whole spectrum of countryside activities; hunting, shooting, fishing, archery, dogs, and horses, etc. (theres usually a catapult range). There are many exhibits covering country ways and life from bygone eras, and many stands representing the people and small companies who still practice some of these traditional country crafts. Gareth,I like those old Eel and Salmon spears,I am going to an auction-house next weekend in Reading which is auctioning off a huge collection of traps,several of which are fish spears,whats are the unusual snares with the attachments?Something along the lines of a foot snare?Belisle type thing?
