Trout fishing............Had a few hundred trout this year,rainbows and browns,used to get a lot of salmon and sea-trout but I guess I now reside in the wrong part of the country for them ;)

My best night ever on trout was two years ago when my eldest son had a night out,we got close to 150 :shock: none were wasted,but normally I only catch what I can carry ;)

Dry fly old bean :D Biggest rainbow I have had was just under 18lbs,biggest brownie was 9lbs.

I have used PE,a divers recall,and native fish-bombs steve,but its fly only here :shock:

Would the small boy have sold his fish, or eaten them? If so, what kinda places buy trout? I know restaurants buy salmon but I never imagined they would need trout. What kinda money do you get for them?

He probably gave them to his aunt who is married to a Thai national who has a Thai restaurant in an affluent part of Surrey,he probably got 4 or 5 hundred trout last year and Cliff Richard probably ate one when he dined in the stablishment (probably).

the days are on the turn cant wait to get at the fishing have to get some flies tied get the boat readied before you know it the mayfly will be up

You need that dry fly pattern Pablo, and mind you don't trip over all those bits of net Tidal Wear found just floatng by. LOL
