Upcoming attempt: The strongest one man operated slingshot!Just to let you know, I am planning an attempt to break the 120 Joules barrier this weekend.
I will construct and build a slingshot that is attached to a pair of shoes and is shot from the sitting position, much like a rower.
I will extend the fork forwards by 20 cm, so I will have a draw length increase.
I will use the clamp-on method for the fork attachment. I will use double Thera Band gold, tapering from the full 14 cm to 7 cm.
That will give me an average of 10,5 cm times four. If my calculations are right, the draw force (at 500% elongation) will be about 110 kilogramms (240 lbs).
I will use my trusted release and pull with both hands.
Wish me luck!
