Whiskey with GingerI rather fancy whiskey with ginger root would sit rather nicely in the hip flask for the remaining shoots of the season.
Any recipes anyone?

Is cider brandy made from the leftover cider dredges, distilled brandy style then you add half a clove of what? Clove or garlic? and how do you distill your cider?

distilled scrumpy cider,40 liters makes about half a liter of brandy. in france the same drink is called calvados, they make theirs bootleg style out of cider pulp, which incidently is usually free from cider presses.the cloves i use is the little spikey nlack things used as a spice.
when yer next in a supermarket have a look for the cider brandy, its realy very very good stuff!

Slightly off topic, but how would one, in theory, distill cider into calvados 'bootleg' style?
