hello to you all havent been on the forum for awhile been busy, at the moment im doing loads of deer skulls, for a taxidermy mate of mine, we start with a skull skin it boil it and then degrease and bleach it white its quite easy to do and they sell very well, a lot of people just thow the deer heads a way but to me its a waste even the antlers a sellable to the stick makers and craft boys.

thats great I have been doing that with my big game for a couple of years now.  it sure saves money over getting a regular mount, and it looks cool too

statikpunk do you do your skulls with beetles or boiling or let them rot down.? some people are now airspraying skulls in silver and gold paint might give that a try it looks brilliant on some of the skull ive seen.

i boil then bleach it with hydrogen peroxide, mine dont seem to come out quite as white as yours though.  I have heard of the beetle thing and it sounds cool I should try it.  my father in law has staked his to an anthill before for the same effect but it takes a while.

I will send some pics of ones that Ive done when i get a chance.

cheers look forward to the pics, ive allways wanted a colony of dermistid beetles but they are not easy to keep in the uk, heres a few of my skeletons i put together.
